Living abroad colonially

I'm heading off to Patagonia tomorrow morning. I'll be gone for 6 weeks and have no means of electricity. It's my Walden. I should have brought Walden. See you in March.

I'll make you a deal - I won't die if you don't.

See you in March

Sorry for not talking to you. I just have been on an apathy kick as of late. It's your fault as well though (unless you live in Antarctica, Japan, or Africa) because I haven't heard from you via blog either.

I got back from a 2 week work experience with the high schoolers of San Lorenzo on Friday. Here were some things that I wanted to blog about but now don't have much time.

The second button on my short-sleeve(d?) plaid shirt my brother gave me is in a real bad position. Here's why ---- well, I can't find a video of it but Seinfeld and George talk about it at length in two episodes. Basically, it's too high to leave buttoned, but unbuttoned, it's a bit too revealing.

Rockadoodle was talked about on the retreat. It's one of my favorite childhood movies so that was awesome.

I took a very impressive picture of a bee.

That's all.

Favorite Days

My favourite days are now Holy Days. Why? Because the past two holy days - Christmas and today - the Epiphany - I have had real coffee. It is splendid. I can't wait for the next one!

Happy New Years!

I hope that it was jolly good. Mine involved an adventure with water and losing my glasses. Not so fast water, I found them this time. Looks like we're tied.

Tomorrow I set off to do some work for about 10 days and then I have a brief break before going to Patagonia for 6 weeks. Not a terrible way to start the new years. Another "not so bad way to start new years" - sharing a bottle of wine with an English grandmother talking about life. I was having trouble keeping up with her, in both ways.

Hope your new year resolutions don't fail too quickly!

Cheers!
